Marvel Legends Showdown Wolverine

Wolverine, while being one of my favorite characters, was one of the last Super Hero Showdown figures I got, mostly because I didn’t want to drop $15.00 on the two pack of him and Hulk. So when my buddy prozac had some available for sale at a reduced price, I jumped on it…and I was very glad that I did!

I was pretty certain that I would like the Hulk figure, based on how I felt about the Thing…and to boot, I like the Hulk as a character more, so I figured with the bulk, the detailing, and the better character, I’d probably like this figure more. But I wasn’t too sure about Wolverine. I knew Wolvie would have those silly rubber claws problems, but I found that beyond those familiar claw issues, the figure is really fun! His articulation is amazing, as all of them are, and he is a little shorter in stature, as he should be. I did have some issues with his left leg popping off by looking at it sideways, but I love the uniform deco, the sculpting detail, and overall, this is a very cool rendition of Wolverine, and he’s in Joescale to boot.

Is he worth the huge price? Very tough call. I’m not sure I can endorse spending $15.00 for two 4-inch figures (considering that Joes sold the same deal for less than half the price) but Wolvie is a cool Super Hero Showdown figure…if you can possibly get him, or even get the 2-pack at a better price, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
