Marauder “Gun-Runners” Upcoming Kickstarter

Marauder Task Force WWII

Marauder Gun-Runners announced today that their upcoming Kickstarter for Marauder Task Force WWII should launch this week.  Marauder’s has been behind many successful Kickstarters such as the Marauder’s “Mark II”, the Marauder Task Force and the Marauder Task Force Valkyries to name a few.  They have always delivered very high end, detailed and highly articulated action figures and this Kickstarter looks like it will not disappoint.  The mock ups that Marauder’s have shown thus far are fantastic looking and the prototype that they showed off yesterday is amazing.  Continue to check back for further details as they become available or check out Marauder “Gun-Runners” Facebook page.

Sectaurs Warriors of Symbion

Hey guys so some exciting Kickstarter news.  Zica Toys launched their Kickstarter campaign a few days ago for Sectuars Warriors of Symbion.  They are already half way to their goal of $40,000 with 25 days to go.  Zica has been teasing us with news of the Sectaurs for around 10 months now and finally it’s our chance to get in on this.  Sectaurs is of course based on the 1985 action figure line released by Coleco.  The line was short lived and never made it past the first wave but now we have a chance to remedy that by getting Zica off the ground.  One of the best parts of this Kickstarter is that Zica has adjusted the figures down from their original larger size down to the 1/18th (4”) scale.  The first two figures in the lineup are Dargon and General Spidrax, the main hero and villain of the series.  They are offering these as a two pack or by themselves.  Get in on this early and let’s help get this campaign fully funded.

Jump on over to Kickstarter and read more about the campaign and the Sectaurs.  Also, check out Zica Toy’s Facebook page to see pictures of additional waves of figures.

Collecting the art of G.I. Joe: Volumes 5 and 6 (1990-1994)!

One piece of news that cannot go unnoticed is the latest in a line of Kickstarters by Robert Carson Mataxis of 3D Joes.  Robert is in the final week of his Kickstarter for volumes 5 and 6 of Collecting the art of GI Joe.  These volumes cover the years 1990-1994 and are a celebration of the painted art of GI Joe A Real American Hero.  As of writing this post the Kickstarter has smashed its goal and currently sits at $35,830.  You still have 6 days to get in on this Kickstarter and own a great piece of collecting art.  Volume 5 will feature 158 unique pieces of art and will cover three years of material.  Volume 6 will cover the last two years of figures, vehicles, playsets and peripheral painted art for G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero.  It will also feature 20 pages of unreleased and international painted art.

Head over to Kickstarter before it’s over.

Marauder Task Force Exo-Suit, K-9, and Contract Ops Kickstarter succeeds!

What a final day for the latest Marauder Kickstarter!  I was already intrigued by this Kickstarter at launch, merely because the Exo-Suit looked so cool, and I was definitely on the hook for a few of the Contract Ops figures.

The K-9 ended up impressing me more than I thought it would, and then when news got out that they would be making Agency-Ops figures as a part of this deal?  Yeah, I knew I was on board.

Whether or not we’d even hit Agency Ops was still in question leading to the last day.  It was a stretch goal at the $214,000 $172,000 level, which felt a bit out of reach with 24 hours remaining.  But everyone came together, and we ended up smashing that goal, the Kickstarter rounding off at nearly $218,000!

Huge congrats to the always great folks at Marauder for another successful Kickstarter, and a big thanks to Tommy over on the Marauder Task Force Facebook Page who whipped up a spectacular graphic outlining what would be contained in the “All In” pledge level (this is essentially everything that got unlocked during the Kickstarter).

This is a great look at more terrific additions to an already impressive product line.  Marauder continues to reinvent 1:18 scale military action figures, and I can’t wait to get my hands on some of these and to see what’s still up their sleeves.
