Another day, another G.I. Joe: 50th Anniversary review!  Just as first reports of this line being found at retail have hit, the reviews are moving full steam ahead.

Today I’ll be covering the “Battle Below Zero” vehicle set, which contains the Cobra Wolf w/ Ice Viper against the Ghost Hawk w/ Snake Eyes!  Check out my G.I. Joe: 50th Anniversary Review Page, or just click the links below.

Some awesome Rise of Cobra concept art from Facebook game

Stalwart G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra fans (who are probably few and far between) likely remember the Facebook game that  came out around the release of the film.  It involved facing off one-on-one against another opponent, picking your trooper, and upgrading their equipment as you fight others and increase your experience.
It wasn’t the most interesting or captivating game, but it provided a look at some interesting artwork as the game progressed and you upgraded your uniform.
Well, the artist for this Facebook game, Jason Badower has a blog, and way back in January posted some of the artwork that was used in the Facebook game.  A lot of it is stuff I hadn’t seen before, and even the stuff that was seen in the game is interesting to see in a different context.
Check out Jason’s excellent blog right here, and the mirrored images are hosted below.

Kick Ass Customs of the Week – G.I. Joe Resolute Arctic Attack

With all the talk of the upcoming Resolute boxed sets, everyone’s been clammoring for Roadblock, Destro, Stalker and all of the guys that didn’t get the action figure treatment, but not many fans are really making mention of the arctic assault uniforms that Duke and Scarlett wore while they busted up Siberia.  HissTank member meeko, actually goes even further, and he did up some great customs of the entire cast of characters from the Arctic battle…not only did he do some very nice versions of Siberian Scarlett and Duke, but also the Alley-Vipers, Ice-Vipers, and Zartan.  He used some Star Wars parts, some Joe parts, and really thinks outside the box on some of these things.  Nice stuff.

Check out the thread here, and the images mirrored below.
