There are always many of the same questions flying around when it comes to G.I. Joe Convention time every year.  I figured I would try to answer some of those ahead of time for people who are wondering.  This isn’t a “FAQ” by any means, but hopefully a place for people to get just a few questions answered, especially about product reveals, Con exclusives, etc…

Questions and Answers

Q – When do we hear more about the Exclusives?

A – When Golden Ticket holders receive their boxed sets and Convention Comic on Wednesday night, everyone should get more information about the other exclusives.  The remaining Convention exclusives are listed within the Convention Comic and by scrutinizing the art within the comic, the design and nature of the additional convention exclusives can generally be figured out.  Golden Ticket holders cannot pick up the additional exclusives until Thursday at 5:00pm, so pictures and full details will not be revealed until then.

Q – When can we expect to see new Hasbro offerings for 2012 and 2013?

A – Convention attendees get the first look at the sales room and display booths at 2:00pm on Friday, June 29th.  Hasbro should have many of their new reveals at that time.  Expect images to start filtering online within a couple hours of 2:00pm on Friday.  However, Hasbro is also having a series of seminars on Saturday, from 10:00am – 12:00pm and they will usually reveal new items at those seminars.  Quite often new product is put in the display booths afterwards as well.  So images of the slideshow and updated items in the display booth can usually be seen by early afternoon on Saturday as well.

Q – I’m going to be at the Convention…how can I meet up with fellow Joe fans?

A – Nothing really to say here besides “don’t be shy”!  We’re all there sharing a common purpose, so if you see someone you want to talk to, go talk to them, easy as that!  Sure, there will be groups of people gathered together, but many of these folks have known each other for 10 years or more.  Don’t be shy, go up, introduce yourself, and start talking.  We’re all at a G.I. Joe convention, there are always things to talk about.

Granted, I’m sure there are many other questions people have, but most questions at this point can be answered at any number of the helpful links above.  I’m just trying to clear up a scant few of the most asked questions I see online.

The 2012 G.I. Joe Convention is now just around the corner, I hope everyone is ready!
