Another awesome custom diorama playset template from the MS GiJoe Collectors' Club

The guys over at the MS G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club have made splashes in the past with their free downloadable templates for a “make your own” custom playset, and they’ve really outdone themselves this time around!
A massively scaled playset designed to incorporate numerous recent additions to the G.I. Joe universe has been uploaded to their forums!
Based off of some of your favorite classic cardboard playsets from back in the day, the deco and styles have been updated a bit to reflect a more modern G.I. Joe-friendly feel.  While I can’t host the crazy, high quality files that they’ve got over on the forums, I will share some of the completed pictures that have been posted in their Facebook profile.
This thing looks amazing!

G.I. Joe: Renegades panel confirmed for San Diego ComicCon

With the reveals of every Pursuit of Cobra figure through spring, 2011, some folks (myself included) were questioning just what Hasbro would talk about during the San Diego ComicCon.  Well, that question has been answered.
Comic-Con.org has posted an updated schedule of events and featured on the Thursday block is the following panel information:

“1:00-2:00 Hasbro GI Joe— The Hasbro design and marketing teams and representatives from Hasbro Studios — including Derryl DePriest (Hasbro Marketing),John Warden (Hasbro Design), Aaron Archer (Hasbro Brand IP Development), Jeff Kline (executive producer, G.I. Joe Renegades), and Michael Vogel (Hasbro Studios) — discuss new initiatives for Hasbro’s G.I. Joe brand. Fans won’t want to miss details from the showrunner and members of the creative team for the new G.I. Joe Renegadesanimated television series coming to The Hub network this fall! Also includes Q&A time. Room 25ABC
Categories: Action Figures – Toys – CollectiblesAction/AdventureAnimation |Television

With John Warden in attendance, there will no doubt be some Pursuit of Cobra talk as well, but I think everyone is waiting to hear more about Renegades, which could prove to be G.I. Joe’s resurgence into television animation after nearly two decades of obscurity.  No, Sigma 6 does not count (as much as I hate to admit it).

As if I wasn't fired up enough for Pursuit of Cobra – new Shadow Tracker and Night Fox images

Gyre-Viper strikes again, this time getting us some great images of a Pursuit of Cobra Shadow Tracker test shot as well as the upcoming Alpha class vehicle AWE Striker w/ Night Fox.  I’m not quite so enamored with the AWE Striker itself, but hot damn if that  Night Fox isn’t one sexy bitch.
The Shadow Tracker we see in the images below is an uncolored test shot, so obviously this won’t be the final deco, but in some ways that adds to the appeal.  With the black and white colors, you can really pick out the detail work, and I love the focus on the wrist articulation here.  Look at all that freaking gear, too.  What a fantastic looking figure.
Night Fox is a bit of a surprise, as I thought it was pretty much a frankensteined mis-matched mess…updated images a month or so ago changed my mind.  And Gyre-Viper’s pictures even further pushed me over the edge.  What a great looking combination of parts and new webgear.  A very cool looking new character.
