Weekend Recap – Rise of Cobra Alpha Wave 3 released to retail in the Philippines

lava-pod-polar-sharc-tiger-clawIn a pretty surprising story that has flown amazingly under the radar, the third wave of Alpha vehicles that was initially rumored to be cancelled has arrived at retail in the Philippines according to Terror Drome member FeuerFrei.

Does this mean they are soon to arrive stateside as well?  The latest Hasbro Q & A reported that these vehicles were just delayed, and not in fact cancelled, but if they hit shortly, that would be a lot earlier than everyone thought.

Weekend Recap – More Pursuit of Cobra Zartan images

Thanks to the Terror Drome guys for pointing out that ACToys has posted some additional images of the upcoming Pursuit of Cobra Zartan figure with Sandstorm disguise.  Check out the fantastic images below!

I’ve heard a lot of comparisons to Raptor, which I guess is sort of accurate, but I think that does a disservice to how cool this figure is as an evolution to Zartan.  He’s got all the right elements, and meshes the two realities very nicely.

Happy Thanksgiving from GeneralsJoes

roadblock_chefIn a year with war, joblessness, and a rough economy, it’s good to remember what’s truly important.  Sure, you waste some time of your life reading the site, and I spend way too much time of my life contributing to the site, but in times like this, it’s also important to set some time aside for your hobbies as well.

G.I. Joe is a great past time, and this year has been a terrific year to be a G.I. Joe fan, but let’s all keep our perspective and think of those who are less fortunate and who don’t even have the opportunities that we all do.  Today is a day to give thanks, to enjoy family and friends, or just kick back and refuel in preparation for the busy holiday season.

Even in crazy times like this, I’m infinitely thankful for my family, my job, my friends, and that I even have the time and resources to spend so much time on the hobby that I love.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
